Twenty Six Months

A little summary of the month:

* Will now sit by himself for the whole duration of time out until he is allowed to come out
* Snuck a small bowling ball into the diaper bag (actually just returned it today 9/12)

* Started learning/talking about emotions, feelings & senses.  Loves reading My First Body Book and the page with faces for surprised, happy, laughing, worried, mad & sad
* Enjoys some slip n slide fun

* Will come running to help with the dishwasher or laundry
* Loves fire trucks & pointing them out in the car.  Also sirens - stating "fire truck, ambulance, police car"

* Will move his right arm back and forth as he imitates running

* Newest words/phrases (that I can think of): "what happened", "all set", "garage", "finish", "yum yums (M&Ms)  and he is putting so many words together into sentences/phrases now.
* Loves the walks with Sage so much he refuses to get out of the stroller when we are done

* Eats dinner sitting at the table with us now & will say grace
*Recognizes the letters "A", "B" and "N"
* Dinner involves lots of negotiations now...
* First real "boo boo" that required a bandaid (dropped my laptop on his toe)

* Still won't pee on the potty even if he knows he has to go, it was work just to get him to pee outside in the grass.
* He loves going over to Peaks Island and riding the ferry boat.  Sleeps much better downstairs with the crib mattress on the floor.  Needs someone there until he falls asleep, but sleeps through

* Slowly getting over his fear of animals.  Actually fed a goat at Smiling Hill Farm 9/4
