Happy Birthday Michael and Pumpkins!

Two weeks ago, Mike and I went to see Fountain's of Wayne at the Port City Music Hall in Portland.  It was my early birthday present to him.  Unfortunately, it was on a Thursday night on the week of homecoming and some away field hockey games.  So, I was not a really fun date, because all I really wanted to do was sleep!

For his actual birthday today, we are celebrating with some delicious chicken parmesan and a homemade ice cream cake!  Happy Birthday Michael!  Enjoy the last year of being in your twenties!

I also just wanted to share some pictures from pumpkin carving with the girls last weekend.  Happy Halloween!

To Etsy or Not to Etsy

I have spent some time on Etsy.com, mostly just browsing and I even recently purchased some scarves.  As a result I have started thinking about possibly creating my own Etsy store and selling stuff.  I like to think that I am pretty crafty, so it could work!  I thought that I would start with the monthly onesies that I made for baby Eva.  This weekend the onesies were actually on sale, and I went ahead and purchased two sets of fabrics that would work for a boy and a neutral set.  I still have some fabric leftover from Eva's to make another girl set.
Neutral fabrics

Zoo animals - so cute!

My goal is to slowly start working on them, and then once field hockey is over I can really focus on setting up a site and see how it goes.  The best part is I already have some pictures of Eva to use as a model!

Happy Birthday Sage!

Our baby girl, Sage, turns two on Monday!  She has really grown up a lot in the last year, and because of that she pretty much has free rein of the house (with the exception of bathrooms & bedrooms) when we are not home. We are certainly enjoying the freedom as well, because we no longer have to deal with the baby gates!  I think she spends her time relaxing on the couch and looking out the window waiting for us to come home.

She has also been going to a new daycare near my school, so she will sometimes make the trek south with me.  It is meant for days when both Mike and I have late nights with field hockey or work, so it doesn't happen very often. Although we love the place in Scarborough,  the times did allow me to get to work on time.  So far she has been to the new place 3-4 times and it works out perfectly, because I drive right by it on my way to school.  The best part is afterwards we can go to the website: http://www.adogstale.net/ and they post pictures of the dogs during the day.

Happy Birthday Sage!
