Favorite Time of Day

There are of course, many things during the day that I enjoy - especially being home with Braden.  But, one of my many favorite moments is when I hear that he is awake in the morning and I go in to get him.   If only I could get him to wake up from nap time just as happy!  We'll get there.

Sorry about the quality - not as good with the ipod!  I'll have to try with the camera some day.
This is how I get to start my day!

Nursery Projects

About two months ago for girls night we went to Firefly pottery and I made a tile that I thought could work in the nursery.  I liked it so much that I went back two more times to make more.  I would like to go one more time to make it a set of four tiles that I can put up on the walls somewhere in the room.  I am thinking about maybe creating an elephant for the last one.

Also over the last week I have been working away on the twin quilt that will go on the bed in the nursery.  I am very happy with the product so far!  I just need to make a quick trip to Joann's tomorrow to pick up more fabric for the back and it will be finished!  Now what to do for curtains?

On a side note I am thinking about adding to my Etsy store.  I am thinking about selling the decorated wooden letters like what I made for Eva and for our wedding cake table (Oslin).  So, tomorrow I am planning on making a few different sets of those and see how it goes.

Nursery Fun Has Begun

As I mentioned in my previous post mom helped take down the old border in the nursery.  The hope was that it would come off easily, so that we did not have to repaint the room, because it was already a nice neutral yellow.  The project was a success not only because we don't have to repaint, but because it was much easier than expected.  This was a pleasant surprise, because it was not so easy last fall taking down the border in our bedroom.
Here are a few pictures of the room before & after.  I also bought a crib set that I had found earlier in the week.  I had waited to see if the yellow paint was going to work and to see if Mike would approve.  So, the safari/jungle theme is a go - now I just need to figure out what to do with the walls and decorations now that the border is gone.

What once stored school supplies - now has childrens books!

Goodbye scrapbooking corner & supply closet...

Just enough space left for a crib & dresser!
