Happy Birthday Michael (Part II)

Back in October I posted about Michael's birthday present and how we went to see Fountain's of Wayne.  Well, it was also on his birthday that I told him that I was pregnant.  I included a little note with the following presents.  He was very surprised and certainly excited!

Boy or Girl they will certainly be a Bruins fan!

Setting Up Shop

I finally finished the girl set of onesies today, so I think I am ready to set up an Etsy shop.  I just need to come up with a name, start thinking about what information I should include on the site and figure out pricing.   It is getting a little late tonight, so I will probably work on it a bit tomorrow.
Below are some pictures of the sets.  I am thinking about selling 0-6 sets, 0-12 and then possibly adding a 0,1,3, 6, 9 and 12 month set.  But, I would have to make the last set, because I didn't like the color combinations when I picked them out separately, so we'll see!  I am also thinking if things don't work out I at least have some sets to give as baby shower gifts!

The girl set - which I LOVE!

Happy New Year

I know I am a little slow with the new year posting.  I have been neglecting the blog for a while now, and I do have plenty of other updates that I will get to eventually...
But first, the most exciting news for us this year, is that in July (or earlier, and hopefully not any later) Michael and I will be welcoming our first child into the world.  Baby Oslin is due July 3rd and we couldn't be more excited!
We have already been to a couple of appointments, and most recently I heard the heart beat. We also have the first ultrasound pictures to share, which were difficult to get because he/she was very active!  In just a few short weeks we will have another ultrasound and could find out the sex of the baby, but I think we are going to stick with our decision to make it a surprise!  Although, I am sure there are plenty of family and/or friends out there that will try to convince us to change our minds.  We will be excited and happy with a healthy baby boy or girl and July can not come soon enough!  Happy New Year!

Visiting the Bourdon's

Well, it has been WAY too long, almost two whole months without any blogging!  So, let me back up to November.  Sarah, Jon and I flew out to Kansas to visit Ashlea, Nick and to meet little Eva.  We arrived pretty late on Friday night, Ashlea picked us up and we drove the 2 hours from Kansas City to Junction City and went straight to the hotel.  I don't remember much of the drive, because it was dark and I kept falling asleep.
We spent most of the time hanging out at the apartment catching up with Ashlea, playing a few games with Nick and taking turns holding Eva.  We did venture out a few times to see the base, tried some Cracker Barrell, and on Sunday we went to the zoo.

Time for a family picture!

 All smiles!

It was a very quick trip, but a lot of fun.  We couldn't get enough of cute little Eva, so hopefully she'll be coming to Maine soon!  I love Eva's face in this picture!

Happy Birthday Michael and Pumpkins!

Two weeks ago, Mike and I went to see Fountain's of Wayne at the Port City Music Hall in Portland.  It was my early birthday present to him.  Unfortunately, it was on a Thursday night on the week of homecoming and some away field hockey games.  So, I was not a really fun date, because all I really wanted to do was sleep!

For his actual birthday today, we are celebrating with some delicious chicken parmesan and a homemade ice cream cake!  Happy Birthday Michael!  Enjoy the last year of being in your twenties!

I also just wanted to share some pictures from pumpkin carving with the girls last weekend.  Happy Halloween!

To Etsy or Not to Etsy

I have spent some time on Etsy.com, mostly just browsing and I even recently purchased some scarves.  As a result I have started thinking about possibly creating my own Etsy store and selling stuff.  I like to think that I am pretty crafty, so it could work!  I thought that I would start with the monthly onesies that I made for baby Eva.  This weekend the onesies were actually on sale, and I went ahead and purchased two sets of fabrics that would work for a boy and a neutral set.  I still have some fabric leftover from Eva's to make another girl set.

Zoo animals - so cute!

My goal is to slowly start working on them, and then once field hockey is over I can really focus on setting up a site and see how it goes.  The best part is I already have some pictures of Eva to use as a model!

Happy Birthday Sage!

Our baby girl, Sage, turns two on Monday!  She has really grown up a lot in the last year, and because of that she pretty much has free rein of the house (with the exception of bathrooms & bedrooms) when we are not home. We are certainly enjoying the freedom as well, because we no longer have to deal with the baby gates!  I think she spends her time relaxing on the couch and looking out the window waiting for us to come home.

She has also been going to a new daycare near my school, so she will sometimes make the trek south with me.  It is meant for days when both Mike and I have late nights with field hockey or work, so it doesn't happen very often. Although we love the place in Scarborough,  the times did allow me to get to work on time.  So far she has been to the new place 3-4 times and it works out perfectly, because I drive right by it on my way to school.  The best part is afterwards we can go to the website: http://www.adogstale.net/ and they post pictures of the dogs during the day.

Happy Birthday Sage!
